Controlled release packs contain various life stages from egg thru adult. The bag acts as a miniature breeding units and are to be hung on plant throughout the greenhouse. Over 4 week period each bag can produce over 1,000 Cucumeris.
SHIPPED: Mixed population in hangable paper sachet.
OPTIMUM CONDITIONS: 20-25C (68-77F); 65-70% humidity.
RELEASE RATES: 1 sachet per plant introduced every 6 to 8 weeks or 1 sachet per 5 plants (greenhouse crop such as cucumbers) releases every 1 to 2 weeks until infested are is covered.
SPECIAL NOTES: Our standard to Thrip control is Amblyseius cucumeris. Trials in cucumber greenhouses demonstrated this predatory mite persisted on plants for 7 weeks in absence of prey and when Thrips are present A. cucumeris increased its population. It is preventative and a control all in one mite!
