Latin name: Amblyseius swirskii
Small (0.5mm) tan coloured mite that originates from Mediterranean. In ideal conditions, this mite can be found on the upper sections of pollinating plants. Swirskii feeds on whiteflies, thirp and some pollen and spider mites.
Amblyseius swirskii have been known to feed on 20 whitefly and 15 larvae, and 6 first instar thrips per day.
SHIPPED: Adults in bottles with bran and vermiculite carrier or sachets with bran carrier.
OPTIMUM CONDITIONS: 25-40C (77-104F), below 15C (59F) inactive, 70%or greater humidity.
RELEASE RATE: 20-100 mites per m. sq. (10 ft. sq.) or 1 sachet per 2 m. sq. (20 ft sq.). Sachets need to be repeated every 6 weeks
